HCCS has full-time and part-time openings for experienced and certified Remote Coders. Weekly schedules and hours are flexible, but consistency is required of both full and part-time coders. This is not contract work like what most of our competitors offer. Our clients hire us as an indefinite solution rather than temporary help that we provide using short-term coders. When we hire coders and auditors, our goal is for them to still be with us when they retire. Our client facilities range from CAHs with less than 25 beds to Trauma 1 Academics in some of the largest health systems in the country. While we try to keep shuffling to an absolute minimum, we hire coders for types of hospitals rather than a specific client - this means a coder's job with us is not dependent on that client. 

IP Urban Coders

HCCS has  full time positions for experienced and certified Remote Inpatient Coders.We will provide the equipment for full-time employees. Full time employees will be expected to commit to working 40 hours per week.

Desired Skills and Experience  

  • Current coding certification from AHIMA or AAPC - CCS strongly preferred, but RHIA or RHIT will be considered 
  • Minimum of 3 years Inpatient Coding experience required.
  • IP Urban Coders: Trauma 1 and Academic experience required
  • Full-time: Commitment to 40 hours per week. 
  • Part-time: Commitment to 20 hours per week with a minimum of 8 hours on the weekend. The remaining 12 hours are flexible. 
  • CAH (CPT) coding experience is a plus but not required
    $2500 Sign-on Bonus 

APR/DRG Validators

HCCS has full-time openings for experienced and certified Inpatient Auditors. Work remotely for a great company from the comfort of your home!

Desired Skills and Experience

  • One of the following current coding certifications is required: CCS, RHIA, RHIT, and/or CPC
  • Minimum of 3 years Inpatient coding experience - Trauma level II or above
  • Minimum of 1 years Inpatient auditing experience - Trauma level II or above
  • Previous experience working as a DRG/APR-DRG auditor and/or coder is required
  • 3M, Meditech experience a plus

Pro Clinic Podiatry Coder

HCCS currently has a full-time opening for an experienced Pro Clinic Coder with an expertise in Podiatry. The perfect candidate will have 3 plus years of current medical coding experience in Pro Clinic charts along with a current coding credential from AHIMA or AAPC. This is a full remote position, with flexible hours Monday - Friday. 

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Current coding certification from AHIMA or AAPC
    • CPC-A and CCA certifications are not accepted
  • 3 years of experience in coding Pro Clinic charts
  • Proficient in Family Practice with expert knowledge in Podiatry and SDS 
  • EPIC knowledge is required 

Observation Coder

HCCS has a full-time opening for an experienced and certified Observation Coder. Work remotely for a great company from the comfort of your home! Full-time candidates will be expected to work Monday - Friday 40 hours per week!

OP Coders

HCCS currently has full-time openings for two experienced and certified OP Coders. The perfect candidate will have 3 plus years of current medical coding experience in OP charts along with a current coding credential from AHIMA or AAPC. You must have the ability to work from home in a quiet space and access to high-speed internet to perform job. We will provide the equipment for full-time employees. Full time employees will be expected to commit to working 40 hours per week and part-time employees 20 hours per week (Monday - Friday). 

Position Requirements

  • Current coding certification from AHIMA or AAPC
    • CCA and CPC-A certifications are not accepted
  • 3 years of experience in OP Coding (labs, rads, & ancillaries)
  • EPIC experience a plus

ED Facility Coders

HCCS currently has full-time openings for an experienced and certified Medical Coder with experience in coding Emergency Facility charts. The perfect candidate will have at least 3 plus years of current medical coding experience along with a coding credential from AHIMA or AAPC. You must have the ability to work from home in a quiet space and access to high-speed internet to perform job. Work for a great company from the comfort of your home! Payroll & Accounts Receivable Specialist

Healthcare Coding & Consulting Services (HCCS) is looking for a qualified Payroll and Accounts Receivable Specialist to assist in all activities regarding the management of employee compensation, data analytics and general AR/AP. You will undertake a variety of tasks such as entering payroll information, calculating wages, creating spreadsheets, and making payments. The successful candidate will be an expert in Microsoft Excel. 

An excellent Payroll and Accounts Receivable Specialist has a great understanding of the concept of confidentiality. You will be experienced in entering data with attention to detail and will have exquisite math and numerical skills to make the necessary calculations. The ideal candidate will be a thorough professional with good communication and time management abilities. The goal is to carry out all payroll procedures with speed and accuracy.  

Our strong preference is to find someone in the Southwest Florida area who can join us in our home office. We intend to fill this position with whoever we feel is the best long-term fit for HCCS, and exactly what this role becomes will be determined by the abilities and interests of the new team members as well as the evolving needs of HCCS. The most natural way for this role to evolve is into HR, financial and/or data analytics. Working at our home office in Fort Myers, Florida is preferred, but a flexible, hybrid work schedule is negotiable for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:  

  • Calculate pay according to hours worked incorporating leaves and overtime 
  • Maintain accurate records, pay periods, hourly wages, salaries, overtime, and vacation days of employees 
  • Liaise with the HR/Accounting departments to ensure accurate information 
  • Utilize computer software for data entry and accounts management 
  • File relevant reports and documents as needed 
  • Verify employee records and consult departments in the event of a discrepancy 
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in payroll and records 

Qualifications:  

  • AA or BS/BA in accounting/business administration is a plus, Work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree 
  • Proven experience as Payroll and Accounts Receivable Specialist 
  • Computer savvy with working knowledge of relevant software (e.g., ADP & QuickBooks) 
  • Highly proficient in computer skills and technology, especially Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access 
  • Accurate and meticulous data entry 
  • Strong clerical, administrative and general office skills 
  • Good organizational and time-management skills
